Timeless Texture

Design by Allison Willson

Creemore

Designer Allison Willson spent years planning a farmhouse that would feel like it had always been there - part European countryside, part modern family life. To achieve this stone-clad vision, Select Stone supplied Cotswold White building stone in both full-bed and thin veneer formats. This allowed for deep-set walls, perfect for built-in shelving and reinforcing the home's authentic character. The use of Cotswold extends from the exterior to the interior, where the same stone creates textured feature walls that anchor the living room and kitchen as central gathering spaces.

The living room fireplace surround is an elegant example of the versatility of Cotswold. Each element of the surround was fabricated with careful attention to proportion and detail. The finished pieces were then aged to match the weathered character found throughout the rest of the home's stonework.
